A Mani/Pedi for Miss Mollie!

While Mollie and Tripp were in Greenville this weekend, Kaye and Curtis took Mollie to get her nails done and shot us a few pictures for us to share her first mani/pedi experience.

This is the sweetest picture! Mollie was a little afraid of the nail dryer, so Curtis put his hands under the dryer to show her it wouldn't hurt. She rested her sweet little hands on Curtis' hands. Precious.

Just in case you're wondering, little Tripp did not get his nails done, but he is sporting his new sandals! He's just relaxing and waiting on the ladies.

Kaye-Kaye held Mollie in her lap while she got her toenails painted.

Thanks for the pictures Kaye and Curtis. It looks like you all had a great time!

The Destin Beach and Captain Dave's

I still can't believe we did this, but Curt and I rented two waverunners at Harbor Village in Destin and rode them in the GULF. OF. MEXICO! This was initially my idea and I felt like I had to talk Curt into it at first, but it ended up that Curt loved it and would do it again today, and I was scared to death and will never do it again for sure!

Curt loved the thrill of jumping the waves out in the gulf and went as far out and as deep as he could, (like headed to Mexico, if you get my drift!). I preferred to stay near the shore where the water was more shallow, and where I could be seen (and heard) by as many people as possible just in case I fell off the darn thing! I really didn't enjoy it like I thought I would, but at the end, I was glad Curt and I had that adventure together. Anybody else want to volunteer to ride with Curt next time?

We were so excited to find this restaurant where we ate on our honeymoon, but couldn't eat there because it was not open for lunch! We made a really short video of it because we forgot our camera. The food was fab-u-lous when we were there before. Has anybody else ever eaten here?

We know people's home video's of their vacation are really boring but this is a really short video we took when we finally made it to the beach in Destin. We literally pulled off on the side of the road, changed in a hotel bathroom, and then ran to the beach to get as much beach time as possible because it was late in the afternoon. In this video, Curt is putting up our umbrella and I am just enjoying the gorgeous beach! It was really one of the best afternoons ever, spending time together on the beach with no kids, and just enjoying the peace!

Playtime with Daddy

This is a really cute video of Curt throwing Tripp on the bed and tickling him. They're only this little for a short time so we love to capture the sweet moments of their laughter!

GrandJoe, Tripp's jersey is going to really bother you so let me go ahead and explain. We thought it would fun to start Tripp a collection of SEC jerseys (minus one school, of course!...we just can't bring ourselves to buy that one.) And Tripp will not be wearing his Gator jersey this fall on Saturday, October 24th for sure! But isn't he cute in it!....we'll video the gator chomp another day...haha!

Now I know my ABC's!

In retrospect, I realize I should have dressed the kids up a little for Mollie's video singing debut, but hey, you gotta catch cute video when it happens! This is a one minute clip of Mollie and Tripp after bathtime.

They both have on big t-shirts and are sporting wet heads but they were so cute! Mollie was playing with her radio, playing her CD that Mrs. Liz made her with all her favorite songs. Tripp sat beside her and danced along. (Notice his body bumping along in the beginning of the video! He is also wanting her blocks but wasn't brave enough to grab them this time.)

You'll also hear Mollie asking about her "nanny" (pacifier) that I had taken away from her. There's just something wrong about knowing your ABC's and still needing a pacifier...we're working on this one!

Hope you enjoy her singing!

Saturday afternoon with all the Buchanans!

What a great afternoon we had at Uncle Frank's with all the family! John and Jimmy, and their son Dan, were in town so we all had lunch and an afternoon of family and fun at Uncle Frank's house. It was so good to see everyone!

This is Kathy and Anna holding Brooks while he sleeps. He's such a sweet baby.

Thomas and Mollie really got to know each other this weekend. They really liked hanging out with each other.

Here's the Buchanan brothers and their sweet sister Linda!

And here's some of the Buchanan men - aren't they a handsome bunch? I mean, really!

And we had to get a shot of the ladies, not so bad themselves, huh?

Now, here's another shot of some really good-looking guys: Curtis Allen Buchanan, Curtis Allen Buchanan, Jr., and Curtis Allen Buchanan, III. Priceless.

I love this picture of all the little ones. I think we are just missing Aiden and Carson. Notice how William has little ones all over him! He is so good with the little kids - you can really tell he and Thomas are big brothers because they are really good to the little ones around them!

The Ping-Pong Tournament!

Sarah and William were checking out the tournament bracket.

The finalists in the Ping-Pong Tournament!

Relaxing on the back porch. It was great weather, great food, and great family fun!

Kaye-Kaye pushing Mollie in Uncle Frank's great back yard!

Looking forward to the next time all the Buchanan's are together again!

Tripp can walk!

This is a big one...our little Tripp is moving those little fat legs! He is walking now! Yeah Tripp!

He is so cute because he can stand right up from a squatting position and then take off with those slow, shaky steps. This little boy melts me!

Funny video of a girl singing!

Okay. Get ready for this one. This little girl is just singing her little heart out to a Selah song in a video gift for her grandmother. She really gets into it and adds lots of special touches. She had me laughing and tearing up at the same time....then, the most hysterical part to me is at the very end, she says, "now, can I go play"? Enjoy!

Just hanging out at home on our day off!

Curt and I are so relaxed and rested since the kids were gone for a few days to Greenville. Thanks again to Kaye and Curtis! We REALLY appreciated the break. We took a few pictures today of some funny (some maybe not funny) things that go on around our house. These same things probably go on in every household at some point, it's just our turn right now.

Little Tripp loves to open every cabinet and drawer. He's really happiest when he can also shut a door. Sometimes he shuts himself into a dark room and cries really loudly!

Okay, we had to really think about taking this next picture, or worse yet, POSTING it on our blog. I've analyzed it upside and down, and from all angles, and have come to the conclusion that there is nothing to see, so it got posted.

Can a mommy have just a few minutes to herself? This is what they do while I am in the shower! They stand at the shower door, beating on it, trying to open it, and crying for their mommy. I'm sure all the other mommies that read this can sympathize! Mollie looks like she is trying her best to climb through the door. So funny.

"Where's Tripp?" He loves this game.

"There he is!"

Tripp's favorite past-time...playing with any remote control, telephone, etc...

My goodness, can our little lovey breathe when her face is up against the bedrail net? Seems like she would move her face, huh? (Yes, we moved her after we took the picture.)

We love these little ones!

Thanks to the Librarian.

This is hilarious.... are you ready for a funny story? I asked Curt to take my library books back for me, and told him they were on my bedside table. I emailed him the reminder notice so he could make sure he got them all. At this point, a fine for late returns was my concern.

That evening, Curt told me that the nice lady at the library sent a few of them back home that he "returned" for me. What? I was confused so I went to the dining room to look at the stack.

Well, Curt almost made a few donations to the Rankin County including two of my favorite Gayden Meltcalfe books that his mother gave me, a Beth Moore day-by-day Bible study book that we got for our first Christmas together, and a "how-to-be-a-good-wife" book that my friend Carroll gave me as a wedding gift (I keep that one beside the bed for sure!).

When asked for more details, Curt told me "you said they were beside your bed, so I just took the whole stack". Oh my! I'm glad he didn't dump them in the night return drop-off box! Curt is hilarious! He keeps me laughing!
