Christmas Day 2008

What a great Christmas it was! Lots of fun times visiting family and celebrating Tripps first Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve with GrandJoe and Uncle Andy and had a really fun time eating and opening presents. Tripp got his first Tonka truck ride-on toy and Mollie loves her Elmo karaoke!

Then we loaded up the family wagon and headed off to the Delta! We woke up Christmas morning at Kaye-Kaye and Datee's house and were so surprised that Santa had found us there. He left Mollie a cradle for her babies and a kitchen! He left Tripp a gazillion baby toys and clothes. (He left mommy and daddy money and cases of diapers for both babies! He knows us well!)

We visited with all the Buchanan's at Keith and Kathy's the next day and really enjoyed getting to see everyone! Two of our cousins are pregnant now (Laura and Paige), so we are looking forward to even more babies to celebrate with next Christmas! (Curt and I are just really glad it's not us having another baby!)

And now we are off to the mall to spend our Christmas money (thank you GrandJoe, Datee and Kaye-Kaye, and Santa!).......

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Tripp gets real excited when he knows it's time to eat! Put that bib on him, put him in the high chair, and he gets this really big grin on his face. These times are priceless to me!

Miss Curly-Q

Mollie's curls are so sweet! I couldn't resist this shot of her looking at the ornaments on the tree with those precious curls on the back of her head. I always wanted a sweet little curly headed girl. Thank you God for giving us these kind of things in life that make us so happy!

The Twins

Aren't they precious! This is Shelia and Courtney Towery, Mollie and Tripp's cousins. Okay, their mother, Natalie, is going to kill me because I am posting these sweet pictures before I have even printed her a set! I just couldn't waste them any longer just sitting on my memory card. These girls must be shown off!
Shelia and Courtney were born 2 weeks before Tripp and we can't wait until all our babies are bigger and can play together. I can imagine our little Tripp minding Mollie, Shelia, and Courtney. Our two new little boy cousins will be born soon and then Drew and Tripp will have someone on their team!

Tripp

Thanks to Trisha for making Tripp this cute outfit! If you look closely you can see his name and birthdate cross-stitched on his onesie!
What a special gift.

Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve!

Tripp is getting so much attention this weekend since his sister is gone to Greenville. We miss her a lot when she is gone but we know it is good for both children to get some one-on-one attention. We took Tripp to dinner with us at Newks and he was PERFECT. It was so nice to have a relaxing dinner. I usually cannot relax for fear that one of the babies is about to disturb all the nice quiet people around us.

Mollie does not miss her parents at all when she is in Greenville. She has constant attention and adventures to keep her busy. Her cousins William and Carson live very close to her grandparents so she spends a lot of time with them when she is in town. They love her so much and get so excited to see her. Yesterday she saw Mr. and Mrs. Clause, rode the carousel, and got to play with her cousins Drew and Jack. They live in Madison but are also visiting their grandparents in the Delta because their mom, Courtney, is on pregnancy bedrest. (We are praying for Courtney and her baby. She is around 30 weeks and we want our little boy cousin to stay inside his mommy for as long as possible.) Mollie and Drew played really well together. Mollie was fascinated with his bobo on his chin and kept saying "bobo....ewwww"!

Mollie is so cute when she tries to say everybodys names! We call my dad "GrandJoe", Mollie calls him "Jew-Jew". Curts parents, Kaye-Kaye and DaTee, are called "Taye-Taye and Sashee". So sweet. We all just laugh! She loves her Lee-Lee and Will (Kelli and Will) and her Tarson and Wiwi (Carson and William). But the best is when she sees her baby brother.... she says "Hey Chwipa" (Tripper)!

First post by Curt

Well here we go! I am new blogger, so bear with me. Mary, Tripp, and I are all here, while Mollie is in Greenville this weekend. This has been such a fun holiday season so far for Mollie. She is fascinated by Christmas decorations and seeing Santa at the mall whenever we are there. We plan to be in Greenville Christmas morning and no doubt, will have a Tahoe full of toys when we return to our home. Before we had kids, it was only 2 suitcases, now it is 4 suitcases, diapers, wipes, formula, animal crackers, and juice... also usually one stop at a convenience store to heat up a bottle in a mircowave. We are so thankful to have Mollie and Tripp.

The following is a top 10 list of Mollie's favorite quotes:

10. "Get back!"- usually says this when we see her doing something she probably should not do
9. "Stop it" - expressed any time her brother touches her
8. "Hush" - New one for us, she learned it from Ms. Chavey (we love her!) at school
7. "Hey" - says this to just about everyone she sees
6. "I wuv nu" - sweetest thing she says, also says this when we are forehead to forehead with her... this is her way of hugging
5. "Kimas Twee" -Says this every time we see a tree with lights
4. "Wiz" - The dog who lives next door named Liz
3. "Emma"- The dog next door to KK. Mollie is afraid of her, but loves her from a distance.
2. "Poo-poo!" - Often a false alarm tactic used to get out of bed at night (I fall for this often!).

and the #1 quote we hear from Mollie...

1. "Night-night!" Lays her dolls on their stomachs and pats them on the back, while repeating night-night over and over. This is usually all over the den floor and often the hall floor.

Top 10 activities of Tripp

10. Blows bubbles
9. Has the amazing ability to put his foot into his mouth (Mary does this often too!)
8. Squeals!
7. Appears to be surfing while learning to sit upright.
6. "DJ's" in his excersaucer (plays songs by swatting buttons on exersaucer)
5. Sleeps all night. It was a long time coming. We love this!!
4. Pulling Mollie's hair
3. Bites (actually gums) Mollies fingers, when she puts them in his mouth.
2. Dancing with Mollie (she leads)
1. Hits the bottle often, especially on weekends!

That's all I've got... night night!

The Christmas Rush...

Can you believe it? Christmas is here! The holidays are so much fun with the kids! Mollie loves to spot "Ho-Ho" as we drive around town. She loves the "Kimas yights" (Christmas lights for those of you not yet fluent in Mollienese) and to see the "dogs" (reindeer) in the neighbors front yard! She gets so excited she starts to shiver. Poor little Tripp can't see anything but the back of the seat since he still has to lay down and face backwards. Hang in there Tripp, we'll turn you around in just 6 short months!

The ornaments on the Christmas tree have gotten lots attention from little Mollie and we have waited to put all of the gifts out. They are safer in the garage than in the reach of Mollie. We are looking forward to celebrating with Grand-Joe and Uncle Andy on Christmas Eve and then heading to Greenville for Christmas Day.

Looking forward to Santa's visit....
