Tripp turns one year old!

Note: This blog will be full of pictures just for Aunt Kelli, who didn't like our last blog because it had none! haha.

We had to get a picture of Tripp with his cute little twin cousins, Courtney and Shelia...this was actually their first picture together since they could all hold their heads up! haha. Looks like we just plopped Tripp down on their stroller with them, like we did!

Curt enjoyed feeding cake to our kids.

Curt and Tripp. It's hard to split these two up these days!

Happy Birthday to Tripp! He didn't really dig into his cake. He was so over it.

However, he was really into his new four-wheeler
from his Aunt Kelli, Uncle Will, William, and Carson!

He found his Aunt Kathy and enjoyed resting on her. He was so cute because he was "purring" while he was laying on her!

That's Kaye-Kaye in the back of this picture, holding our new little cousin Walter.

Look how happy Tripp is hanging out on GrandJoe's lap.
Thanks GrandJoe for saving the pavillion for us all morning!

This is the cake I made Tripp for his first birthday.
Be nice, it's my first one ever!

This was such a fun celebration of the first year of Tripp's life. He's changed so much from that little pink wrinkly newborn they held up for us too see just one year ago. We have loved seeing all his little milestones and developments and can't wait to see how much he changes in this one year old year too.

Come on, Tripp, get up on those legs and show us what you got!

We're wireless!

Happy Memorial Day friends and family!

This has been a great weekend for us. The kids have been so good and we've really enjoyed all hanging out together. And we are really proud of this.....Curt has turned our house into a wi-fi hotspot! Yes, we. are. now. wireless! I am blogging from our couch in the den right now. This is fabulous!

We bought a new little notebook that Best Buy had on sale for only $249 and I love it! It's about the size of my Bible and really faster than I thought it would be. It' so much fun to just use it all over the house. Love it!

Tripp and Mollie will start their "new school" tomorrow (I'm taking them with me to the Byram center) and so we're a little anxious about how they will adjust. Tripp will be fine, but Mollie will really miss her teachers and friends at her other school. Mollie likes to be the little teacher's helper, so it may take a little time for her to learn the ropes and make new friends. Her class is all girls, with Mollie being the oldest, and her teacher is potty-training them. That's real exciting to us! We are going to buy her some "princess" pull-ups today. Another milestone.

This should be a busy week! We'll let you know how it goes!

A Hot Mess!

Have you ever heard that saying, "He's a hot mess!"? Well, here is a hot mess for sure!

This is Memorial Day Weekend and we had lots of fun activities planned for the weekend but guess who started sporting a fever on Friday night? You got it right, Mr. Tripp!

He doesn't look very sick in this picture, does he? He had just finished his spaghetti in this shot and I had to grab the camera before I bathed him. I wanted all his friends and relatives to see how he really eats! (His daddy's not much better! haha!) I mean, did he really have to rub it in his eyebrows? You should have seen the bath water after he got in!

We sure do love our little hot mess though!

Okay, now this is what we are used to. A little girl mess. She's messy, but nothing like her little brother after his meal. They always tell you that raising little boys is much different than raising little girls. I believe them now!

He's so happy! (and so not sick!)

These are pictures of Mollie and Tripp playing in their new ball tent. Now first let me apologize to Kelli. I realize that this was your idea to possibly get for Tripp"s birthday but I found it on clearance after we talked and had to get it! Sorry I stole your idea, and it was a good one.....the kids loved it on this rainy day!

We were supposed to go to Courtney and Shelia's first birthday party today, but Tripp was running fever and we had to stay home. Bummer! We were really looking forward to seeing the girls and all the family. Happy Birthday to the twins!

Notice in this bottom picture how Mollie is looking at Tripp. That's the look she gives him when she is "teaching" him something. She raises her eyebrows and talks slower and more clearly, I guess so he'll understand her! haha.

They really play well together....it's a good thing on this rainy day!

American Idol

Some of you may have already seen this but we love this clip of Kris Allen, the new American Idol. This is a clip of him leading worship in his home church. The city in the video is Little Rock. We were surprised he really won, but thrilled for him! (Adam was a little creepy to me!) Hope you enjoy the clip!

Lucy's Party!

We had a fabulous time at Lucy Neal's second birthday party. Lucy Neal and Mollie actually share a birthday. They were born at the same hospital two hours apart so we call them our "twins"! You'll see in these pictures that they look just alike! haha.

This is Lucy talking herself into blowing out her candles.

Mollie and Lucy Neal were hugging before we left and they fell down in a big tackle and were tickled. They're so sweet at this age.

This is Louisa, Mary Logan, and Mollie. The birthday girl was sliding!

Look at how cute Lucy Neal is sliding! This was great!

My little Mollie preferred the baby slide!

She got kind of mad that I made her try the big girl slide! haha.

This is her in action. She looks kind of scared. I felt bad when I saw these pictures. Poor Mollie. She and her Aunt Kelli don't "do tricks"!

It was a great party with lots of really nice people and cute little ones running around. Thanks for inviting us Phoebe and Lucy Neal!

Tripp and his daddy hung out at home watching basketball while the girls "partied". We are looking forward to Tripp's first birthday party at the end of the month. It's hard to believe the little guy is turning one already.

She's two!

Mollie turned two years old! What a big girl! We decided to have a LAST minute party so we were so excited that some of our cousins were able to come celebrate with us! Thanks everybody for joining us. As we were driving up to the party, Molle was in the back seat saying, "We're going to my butday pahty and I'm so cited"! Pictured below from left are: Jack, Camille, Curt, Tripp, Carson, Mollie, William, Drew, John, and Nick. Baby Walter was sound asleep.

We had an unexpected guest.....an alligator that crept around in the water by the shoreline during the party. Can you believe he showed up without a gift!

This is Mollie and her GrandJoe. (She called him Banjo Buchanan today and we were hysterical!) She thinks everybody's name is Buchanan since her name is!

Mollie loves her cousin Camille! She follows her around and tries to act "big" like her. Camille has really good manners and is really sweet so that's just fine with us!

Here we are celebrating her big day! We are so proud of our sweet little girl!

"Tippa" just sat back and relaxed at the party!

William and Carson are SO sweet to Mollie and Tripp! Here they are about to sing Happy Birthday!

All the early risers went outside to swing the next morning so the others could sleep in peace. Thanks Carson for pushing them for us!

Birthday Eve!

Quick! Grab the camera! He's standing up by himself! Yeah Tripp!
(Look how short his legs look! So cute!)

It's actually Mollie's birthday eve today but we had trouble getting her to stand still long enough to take her picture this morning. But Tripp did lots of tricks though!

Oooohhh, it's hhhhheeeeaaaaavvvvvyyyyy......lift it up high Tripp.....lift it up over your head.....what a big little man!

Tripp took a break from all his standing and lifting heavy weights to just clap his hands a little while. Those are the sweetest little boy hands we've ever seen!

He decided to do a little posing now. He's such a little hunk!

Here's Mollie on her birthday eve. She's "wunnin weal fas"! She heard a dog bark and ran like lightning back to the garage. haha.

Mollie has some big news! She is working on living without the "nanny" (pacifier). She slept without it (many of them) for the first time last night! She is holding her elephant lovey instead. She's not real happy about it but her speech and teeth are being affected by those pacifiers. We'll keep you posted on how this new development is progressing!

Family fun!

Tripp and Mollie took a bath in the kitchen sink at Kaye-Kaye's house! These times with them while they are still young are priceless!

This is hilarious! "Sashee" let the kids get in the hot tub last Saturday afternoon. Mollie is "wimmin" with her cousins, William and Carson ("wiwi" and "tarson").

Our little Mollie LOVES to swing! She loves to go "high" in the tire swing by the lake.

She's putting on a show in her Sashee's shoes!

Mollie dressed up like a princess for the Valentine Party at the Carousel.

It's hard to believe that these children are both about to have a birthday. They came into our lives so quickly and so close together, it's all been a blur. Now that their birthdays are here, we are looking back at how quickly they are changing and growing up. They are learning new things every day and are amazing us with every little milestone. We are so thankful for these two little ones and their health!

These last two years have been a delight, the best two years of our lives. Tripp and Mollie have made our lives so joyful and we can't wait for all the fun that awaits us.

Gits!

Poor little Tripp dared to touch Mollie's high chair tray this morning! He is getting a really good talkin' to from his big sister! Notice her finger pointing at him and telling him "No-no, Twipp! Don't git Monnie's gits"! For the record, Tripp had already eaten yogurt. He really wasn't hungry, I promise!

These are our matchy-matchy pajamas. On second thought, these WERE our matchy-matchy pajamas. Right after this photo session, we realized little Tripp had something really unpleasant all the way up his back....and his new pajamas went straight in the garbage! Wasteful, we know...but it had to be done.

Why is he smiling so big? Not sure, but he sure is cute!

Playtime at school!

Mollie and her friends at school LOVE to go outside! I was able to catch a shot of some of them stacking up on the slide. They were having so much fun playing! The bottom picture is a shot of one of the "big" kids, Emma (she's two), pushing Mollie's feet in the swing. Mollie is saying "weeeee" everytime Emma pushes her.
