Choc-ta poody

Mollie really enjoyed her "chocta-poody" (chocolate pudding)! We'll post some new pictures of Trippy soon. He's got a rash on his face now and he's not quite blog- suitable! (He'll thank us later!) Tripp is really crawling everywhere now! He loves his biter biscuits and his stage 3 baby foods but he gets real excited when he gets to eat one of Mollie's long french fries when we go out to dinner! He turns his head to everything else and just stares at her french fries! We tried to hand him some french bread tonight to gnaw on but he spit it out and cried for the french fries! (Yes, we gave him healthier food when we got home...haha.) We had a little drama early this morning. Curt and the kids went out on the back porch to play and read the paper while I cleaned up breakfast. We put Mollie in the baby swing (she gets jealous if Tripp gets it first), but we didn't snap the safety straps because she likes to snap and unsnap them over and over. (This is one of Mollie's favorite past-times. She does it with every car seat, stroller, etc...) Curt sat in the rocking chair right in front of her to make sure she didn't fall out. Well, something happened really fast, and Mollie fell out of the swing onto her FACE! She was so scared and upset! Curt and I both felt sick. She must have bitten her lip because her mouth bled a little, and she got a quarter-size bruise on her cheek from the impact, and a few scratches on her face and knees. We are so glad it wasn't any worse and will always buckle her in.... even if she doesn't want us to! We're sure this won't be our last accident, but now we see that it really does physically hurt you when your baby hurts. The swing is actually Tripp's favorite spot. When he's upset, and all else fails, we head straight for the swing with him. After my nap with Mollie today, we found Curt and Tripp outside with Tripp alseep in his swing. Bless him! And he was buckled in.

"A male cactus"

Over and over this weekend we heard "a male cactus, a male cactus". We politely kept nodding our heads and saying "yes mam", pretending to understand our little one year old and her expanding vocabulary.

Then we finally understood! Animal crackers! Why didn't we figure this out sooner? She was so happy when her slow parents finally listened to her!

A male cactus...we'll never say animal crackers again!

We love a parade!

This was our first parade with the kids and we can't wait until next year! There were lots of festivities for the kiddos before the parade: a pet parade, a children's parade, Inky the clown, kiddy rides, space jumps, bubbles, and art activites at the Mississippi Museum of Art. Maybe we can get William and Carson to go with us next year. They would love it!

Thanks Kaye-Kaye!

Thanks Kaye-Kaye for my new bubble! I stopped long enough to stick out my tongue and let my daddy take my picture to show you how cute I looked in my new outfit!

Happy Birthday Crews and Jackson!

Wee went to the best birthday party Saturday! The weather was beautiful so Mollie and Tripp really enjoyed being outside. There were lots of little ones running around, train rides, pony rides, and Smiley the clown. What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

More party pictures...

We found it...heaven on earth!

Here it is! Isla Passion, a private island about 30 minutes from Cozumel. Curt and I spent the day on the island last Saturday. It was heavenly! So relaxing and peaceful. We laid in hammocks and read for hours, swam in the ocean, went out in the water in a paddleboat, and enjoyed the authentic mexican buffet. We will always remember this place and the day we shared on the island. I miss it already!
