Splish Splash!

What a fun week these little ones have had! This is a hysterical picture of Tripp is picture enjoying his time splashing around at the Renaissance Mall in Ridgeland. We met Shelia and Courtney there Friday morning and had such a fun time just playing in the water. Natalie and Jim are on vacation at the beach, so Natalie's mother, Shelia, invited us to come hang out with the twins and it was so much fun!

Earlier in the week, the kids and I took a spontaneous overnight trip to Greenville while Curt traveled. I wish I had taken more pictures there because the kids had so much fun as always with their Kaye-Kaye and Sashee. Mollie was thrilled to go on another "adventure with Li-li" (Curt's sister Kelli)to Carson's football game in Indianola. Carson couldn't play because he broke his arm playing football with his friends in Starkville last weekend. Mollie wore her Washington Generals cheerleader uniform and had a blast in the stands.

Another highlight of the week when we returned home was getting to eat chocolate yogurt with Shelia and Courtney. It was so nice of "Mimi" (Natalie's mom) to treat us!

This has been a lot of fun for the kids, and I hope we can always keep our days full of excitement! Now off to plan some more fun times!

Everyday is a Saturday to us now!

Good things are happening around our house. Let me give you the update! First of all, our biggest news is that we are now a one-income family. (My hands started sweating even as I typed this!) We decided to resign from my position of almost eighteen years to spend more time with Tripp and Mollie until they start school. We are looking forward to lots of playtime at the park, storytime at the library, and just enjoying these precious preschool years. Tripp and Mollie are so much fun at this age and I am looking forward to spending all my time with them. (insert a happy sigh.) So now everyday is Saturday for Tripp and Mollie!

I'm really happy for Curt because he is really enjoying working for Del Monte. He is traveling every day, and enjoying seeing quite a few customers that he hasn't seen in years. He enjoys catching up with them, and listening to a lot of sports radio along the way! It's comforting to me to know that he is excited about going back to work on Mondays. That's a good feeling!

Because Mollie is in the three year old department now at church, she started Awana on Sunday nights and Preschool Choir on Wednesday nights. She loves putting on her little blue vest for her Awana class. She's really proud, and she doesn't even know yet that she will earn badges to sew on it. Oh my, she will really be proud of that vest then! When I asked her if she had fun in Awana class, she said "I di nt say my Bible burse cause I was scared, and somebody's daddy was in dere and I wanted him to hold me but he was somebody elses daddy." Goodness. And after choir, she said "I di nt have any priends, cause they already had priends, but they say they be my priend on Saturday". Bless it. But believe me, she gets really excited about going, and loves it! We've just got to keep going so we can make lots of "priends"!

Mollie surprised us recently by saying her Pledge of Allegiance with her stick horse she made at Vacation Bible School! She holds it up like a flag and says "I pledge allegiance to the plag, one nation, undah God, indibidible, with libahty, for all. Amen!" It is priceless.

Mollie recently spent some time in Greenville with her Kaye-Kaye and Sashee, and this is a picture taken one morning while they were waking up. Mollie lined up her "class" and cuddled with her Kaye-Kaye. She really enjoys these slow-paced mornings!

Tripp is changing so much every day. He is saying new words, and learning more and more. I let him sleep in the bed with Mollie the other night, and he did something hilarious. They were both asleep, and looking like little angels, so I grabbed my camera and stood over them to take their picture. Evidently, Tripp was still awake, and as I was silently zooming above them, he opened his eyes and said "cheeessssee"! I had trouble holding in my laughter because I have never heard him say that, and it was at such a perfect time. He keeps us laughing.

Another funny story about Tripp: The sales lady at Stride Rite used the word "massive" when referring to Tripp's foot! We were buying him new white church shoes, and he was sized in an 8 1/2 EEE. I guess that's big for his age?

Tripp loves bedtime in his crib. He's getting kind of big for it but he really loves his crib. If you say "Tripp, let's go night-night", he runs down the hall towards his bedroom and waits for you. I mean, who does that? We are really blessed that he is such a good sleeper. And in the morning we have to go check on him to find out when he wakes up. He never cries in his bed. He'll just lie there until we come get him. We may let him sleep in his crib until he is four years old if that's what he wants. It's a good thing he's so good at night, because that is not always the case during the day!

Off to our next fun adventure....
