Curt for hire! Anyone need a sitter?

Curt kept the kids this afternoon while I ran to the doctor. Okay. So far so good. Mollie came to him while he was watching SportsCenter on ESPN (remember that as you scroll down....) and asked him to put the clothes on the baby doll. Curt noticed she had a little powder on her head, and then starting thinking that Tripp and Mollie were being kind of quiet...hmmmm...."I might better go check on what they've been doing", he thought.

He walked into Tripp's room and found a hilarious mess! Mollie had POURED, not sprinked, POURED the entire container of powder on Tripp's head. Tripp's head, face, arms, chest, everything was a solid sheet of white powder! Oh, no, not so good!

I came home about the same time and grabbed the camera to show all of you, our family and friends, what a mess I saw! I put the pictures on the computer while Curt was finishing cleaning up the mess, and then erased them from the memory stick. When I came back to post the pictures, there was an error on the computer...and our precious pictures of Tripp covered in powder are GONE, lost forever! Curt and I are both so upset, because the pictures were hilarious. Once again, our poor little second child that he is, Tripp loses his spotlight...it's just not fair, is it? Tripp has been bathed and now there's nothing to see. Curt and I even pondered the thought of letting Mollie recreate the scene. Scary, huh?

Well, we took some follow-up pictures. These won't be as classic as the ones at the scene of the crime, but they will show you a small glimpse of the damage that was done.

This is a rocker in Tripp's room that Curt's parents gave us when Mollie was born. Where did she get a marker...and how long was Curt watching SportsCenter? Sorry Kaye-Kaye and Sashee.

This is Mollie's room. She put powder all over her little pink stool and her kitchen!

She also put her whole "class" down for "nat-time" (naptime). Notice they are all on their bellies all over her bedroom floor. Oh, and did I mention that the maid came today before this all happened?

Curt and Mollie had to pull out the vaccuum because the powder was all over the carpet in Tripp's room (and the wall, and the changing table, and the shelves, etc... haha!) Did you notice Mollie has a "nanny" in her mouth in this picture, even though she's been off the pacifier for over three weeks? She stretches her little arms as far as she can into Tripp's baby bed to reach any leftovers she can find! Such a clever little girl!

I really wish I had the pictures of Tripp covered in powder to post for you. They were priceless. But you'll just have to use your imagination to picture how funny he looked with white hair, white face, and white eyelashes. I can just picture him letting his sister pour it all over his head. He was a good sport!

Okay, so now.....does anybody need a sitter? I know a really good one! haha.

Perdido Key 2009!

We had a great time on vacation this summer! Vacationing as a family with little ones is a wee bit different than our experiences vacationing as a carefree bachelor and bachelorette, so Curt and I are learning to adjust to lifes changes, step by step. The kids were pretty good for most of the trip, and it was really fun to see everything through their eyes for the first time. When we got home (and everyone slept in their own bed for the night...yes!!), we looked back over all our pictures and realized that this trip is exactly what we both seperately prayed for while we were leading the single life...the whole loading up the family wagon, swimming late afternoons after the kids nap, showing the kids exciting things like the ferris wheel....this is what it's all about! We're pumped now and can't wait to go back and do it all again next year!

This is a picture of little Mollie waiting for our table at the Crab Trap. She had been playing on the playground and decided to rest a bit.

Then she rested on "Unca Will's" shoulder when we got our table. So sweet!

William and Mollie played with their sand bucket.

And played on the slide.

Tripp entertained his Kaye-Kaye while he waited.

These are some of our pictures from our last night at Palacio in Perdido Key. We all went out to the beach and posed for family pictures in the sand. We also got some really great pictures of Curtis and Kaye with the four kids and I will post those later when I get them on my computer.

This is a picture of the Brantons. Kelli is Curts favorite (only, haha!) sister, her husband Will, and their two sons, William and Carson.

Mollie hammed it up with her Aunt Kelli (Li-li)

William is so good to both his cousins! He really spent a lot of time playing with them and being really patient with Tripp and Mollie.

One minute they're sweet little angels just sitting on the side of the pool....

and the next minute, he pulls her hair for no reason, and we suddenly draw the attention of all the people at the pool.

Tripp's favorite pool activity was drying off and eating cheetos! Yum-my!

Tripp kept turning towards the ocean to see where all that racket was comin' from!

We're gonna try sitting with our toes in the ocean again next year!

Mollie was debating whether or not to share her cheese nips with the pelican. Oh my!

Mr. Bartender, can I get my milk, whole, in a Nuby sippy cup, and heated in the microwave for 45 seconds please? I'm trying to give up the bottle!

Mollie and Tripp had so much fun playing in the sand together!

We're looking forward to many more fun memories made together at the beach.

Thanks to the Buchanans for inviting us!
